Filter press in ceramics production with light clay slip

Application areas

Ceramics

In ceramics production, the filter cake is not waste but the product — it requires an exact, reproducible residual moisture at consistent quality.

Your advantages

01

Metal-free

Wetted plastic parts avoid contamination with metal particles.

02

Wear-resistant

Designed for mineral, quartz-bearing and therefore abrasive media.

03

Reproducible

Stable feeding as the basis for consistent residual moisture of the filter cake.

The filter cake is the product

With sanitary ceramics and insulators, the filter cake is not waste but the actual product. What is required is an exact, reproducible residual moisture — fast and at consistent quality.

Stable filter press feeding by the Model FP is the basis for this. With a closed discharge line, the pump protects itself and keeps the pressing cycle controlled.

Wear resistance and metal-free at once

The medium is abrasive due to minerals such as quartz and calls for a wear-resistant design. At the same time, contamination with metal particles is inadmissible, as it causes damage during firing.

Because the wetted parts are made of chemically resistant plastic, no metal particles enter the product. In addition to the filter press, the Model TP also covers transfer.

Frequently asked questions

Why a plastic pump for ceramics?

Because the wetted parts are made of plastic, contamination of the product with metal particles is avoided — this would cause damage during firing.

How is consistent residual moisture supported?

Stable, reproducible filter press feeding is the basis for uniform residual moisture. We clarify the specific layout on an application basis.

Is the pump suitable for abrasive, quartz-bearing media?

Yes. The wear-resistant design is matched to mineral, abrasive media.
