Transfer pump

Ranges
Both pumps are built on the same patent-pending drive — designed for two different tasks.
The principle
The diaphragms are moved hydraulically. That makes the drive controllable, the operation quiet and the pump insensitive to precisely those conditions that other designs fail under.
The pump is designed so that it is not damaged without medium. Starting against an empty line and idle phases in the process are not a damage case.
Thanks to the patent-pending design principle, the pump remains protected and takes no damage even with the suction or discharge line closed — a condition that destroys other pumps.
The hermetically sealed design provides the highest level of safety when handling critical media. There is no leakage path to the outside via a dynamic seal.
Designed to resist wear and therefore suitable for slurries containing solids, changing solids contents and abrasive media.
The wetted parts are made of chemically resistant plastic — the safe choice for corrosive media and aggressive process conditions.
Developed and manufactured in Germany. Several core technologies of the drive are patent pending.
Fields of use
Abrasive, solids-laden, corrosive or safety-critical — the typical fields of use for the HODD ranges.
A double diaphragm pump conveys by having two diaphragms displace volume alternately. The medium only touches the diaphragm and the valves, not the drive. At HODD these diaphragms are moved hydraulically instead of by compressed air. This makes the drive controllable in a defined way; the movement of the diaphragm is guided rather than merely driven by a cushion of air.
Air-operated double diaphragm pumps are widely used, but compressed air is an expensive form of energy: a large share of the energy applied is lost on the way from the compressor station to the pump. The hydraulic drive transfers energy directly and therefore works with considerably lower losses. In addition, the diaphragm movement is guided — which has an effect on service life and process stability.
The design targets difficult media: slurries containing solids, abrasive sludges, corrosive and aggressive liquids. The wetted parts are made of chemically resistant plastic. Whether your specific medium is covered is something we clarify on the basis of your data sheet — please get in touch.
Nothing. That is exactly the core of the patent-pending design principle: the pump remains protected and takes no damage even with the suction or discharge line closed. An accidentally closed valve is therefore not a reason for failure and does not require a service call.
Yes. The pump is designed to be dry-run safe. Starting against a line that is still empty, phases without medium at the end of a batch or an emptied vessel do not lead to damage to the unit.
Model FP is designed specifically for operation on filter presses — where the pressure rises over the cycle and the solids content changes continuously. Model TP is the transfer pump for moving and conveying difficult media in the running process. Which range fits depends on the application; we will advise you on this directly.
